Support the rescue

Our rescue began with one horse…

and has grown into a sanctuary for those who had nowhere else to go.

Today, we care for a small herd of horses who arrived from difficult, often heartbreaking circumstances. Some were neglected, some were abandoned, some were misunderstood, and others were simply no longer useful in the eyes of humans. Many cannot be rehomed due to age, injury, trauma, or chronic health issues — which means they stay with us for life.

And caring for them — truly caring for them — is a lifelong responsibility.

What Is a Rescue Horse?

A rescue horse isn’t just the skinny, forgotten horse from a field.

They come in many shapes and stories, including:

Horses who were loved, but whose owners could no longer care for them

Horses who aged out of riding schools or work

Horses sold under false information

Horses who were neglected due to financial hardship

Horses who shut down emotionally after rough or rushed training

Horses who simply didn’t fit into the “system” anymore

Horses heading toward slaughter because no one wanted them

Some rescues needed medical help.

Some needed emotional healing.

Some just needed someone to notice them.

A rescue horse is any horse whose future was uncertain —

until someone stepped in.
